Doing the Splits

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – For a second consecutive weekend, the Belmont women's track and field team will split up to compete.  Junior Hannah Wittman (Lindenhurst, Ill.) will race in the 10K at the 57th annual Mt. SAC Relays while the rest of her teammates will compete at the Austin Peay Governors Invitational.

Wittman will compete against student-athletes from Air Force, Alaska-Anchorage, Arizona, Augustana (S.D.), Brigham Young, Claremont (MS), Fresno State, Gonzaga, Lipscomb, Loyola Marymount, Marquette, Maryland, Maryville (Mo.), Nebraska, Nevada, Northern Arizona, SMU, South Dakota, St. Louis, Toledo, Tulsa, UAB, Utah, Wayne State, as well as several unattached runners.

The remainder of the Bruins will make the short trip to Clarksville to vie at the Austin Peay Governors Invitational to see time at the same facility that will host the 2015 OVC Outdoor Championship.

Wittman's race on Thursday night is set for approximately 10:27 p.m. CT.  Live video streaming will be available.  The Governors Invitational has two field events on Friday night with the remainder of the events being contested beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
