Shaffer had a solid finish to his 2023 cross country season.  He finished fifth at the MVC Championship, earning him First Team All-MVC honors, and helping his team to a third place finish.  Then at Regionals, he placed 44^th and helped his team to a ninth place finish.  In addition, he was named to the MVC’s Scholar-Athlete Team, the only Bruin male honored.
