MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Belmont women's golf team stands in 13th place after day one of the Blue Raider Invitational held Monday at Old Fort Golf Club in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
On a cool, sunny in the Midstate, Belmont posted rounds of 312 and 310 to finish the day in 13th place with a 36-hole score of 622. Southern Illinois leads the team standings at 593, while Jacksonville State in second at 596.
The Bruins have two golfers in the top-30. Juniors Evin Edens and Sydney Hudson are tied for 28th place with a score of 152. Edens carded rounds of 79 and 73, while Hudson shot a 75 and 77 during Monday's play. Other BU scores from round one included: freshman Abbie Gregory (T-39th, 75-79=154), freshman Alexi Bevans (T-78th, 83-83=166), and freshman Megan Heath (82nd, 89-81=170).
The third and final round will begin Tuesday morning with an 8:30am shotgun start.
