MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Belmont women's golf team finished in 12th place at this week's Blue Raider Invitational held at Old Fort Golf Club in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Belmont shot a team score of 309 in Tuesday's final round to finish the tournament in 12th place with a 54-hole score of 931. Southern Illinois won the team title with a score of 897, while host MTSU placed second at 898.
Two Bruins finished among the top-40. Junior Evin Edens had a solid two days as she tied for 14th place with a score of 226. She shot a career-low 73 in round two and posted a 74 in Tuesday's round. Freshman Abbie Gregory tied for 38th place with a three-round score of 232. She carded a 78 in the final round.
Other Belmont scores from the event included: junior Sydney Hudson (T-45th, 235), freshman Megan Heath (T-67th, 244), and freshman Alexi Bevans (T-79th, 250).
Morehead State's Anna Appert Lund won individual medalist honors with a score of 209.
The women's golf team wraps up the fall season next Monday and Tuesday, October 28-29 at the UAB Fall Beach Blast in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
