GLENCOE, Ala. – The Belmont women's golf team remains in third place after the second round of the Chris Banister Classic held Monday at Silver Lakes Golf Course in Glencoe, Alabama.
Belmont posted a team score of 314 in Monday's second round to give the squad a 36-hole mark of 632. Host Jacksonville State leads with a score of 587, while UALR is in second place at 614.
Three Bruins rank among the top-15. Junior Sydney Hudson posted a two-over par 74 on Sunday to stay in a tie for sixth place at 152. Fellow junior Evin Edens is tied for 10th place at 159 after carding an 80 on Sunday. Freshman Megan Heath shot a 79 to move up to a tie for 12th place at 160.
Other Belmont scores included: freshman Abbie Gregory (T-17th, 161) and senior Shay Sullivan (27th, 169).
Freshman Alexi Bevans, competing as an individual, is in 35th place with a score of 178.
The third and final round will begin Tuesday morning at 8:00am.
