OLD HICKORY, Tenn. – In their first competition in nearly three weeks, the Belmont women's golf team defeated rival Lipscomb in a dual match held Monday at Old Hickory Country Club in Old Hickory, Tennessee.
The Bruins picked up the dual match victory after posting an 18-hole team score of 310, besting the Lady Bisons, who shot 313, by three strokes.
Belmont was led by senior Shay Sullivan, who carded a 76 on Monday, while junior Evin Edens and freshman Megan Heath each shot a 77. Other Belmont scores from the day included: junior Sydney Hudson (80) and freshman Abbie Gregory (83).
Two BU freshman golfers competed as individuals: Alexi Bevans (87) and Maddie Williams (97).
Lipscomb was led by Morgan Bucher, who was the individual medalist as she posted a 75.
The women's golf team will be back in action on October 14-15 at the APSU Intercollegiate in Clarksville, Tennessee.
