MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Belmont women's golf team finished in 11th place at the Blue Raider Invitational held this week at Old Fort Golf Club in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
The Bruins posted a team score of 306 on Tuesday to move up one spot to 11th place with a 54-hole score of 931. Host MTSU won the team title with a score of 873, while Oral Roberts was second at 895.
Two Belmont golfers finished among the top-40. Senior Evin Edens tied for 22nd place with a three-round score of 227. She carded a four-over 76 in the final round. Freshman Katie Story tied for 37th place at 234. The Dickson native also posted a four-over 76 on Tuesday. Other Belmont scores from the tournament included: freshman Mallory Sullivan (T-41, 235), sophomore Megan Heath (T-51, 239), and sophomore Alexi Bevans (T-75, 247).
Sophomore Abbie Gregory competed as an individual and finished in a tie for 66th place at 244.
The women's golf team wraps up its fall campaign next Monday and Tuesday, October 27-28, at the UAB Fall Beach Blast in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
