JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Belmont women's golf team stands in 12th place after day one of the UNF Invitational held this week at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club in Jacksonville, Florida.
Belmont posted rounds of 331 and 333 on Monday to finish the day in 12th place with a 36-hole team score of 664. Western Carolina has the team lead at 613, while UNF is second at 618.
The Bruins are led by junior Evin Edens. The Mt. Juliet, Tennessee native is tied for 19th place with a score of 158. She carded rounds of 82 and 76 on Monday. Senior Shay Sullivan is tied for 53rd at 169, while freshman Abbie Gregory is tied for 57th at 170. Other BU scores from day one included: Sydney Hudson (T-61st, 171) and Alexi Bevans (T-61st, 171).
Freshman Megan Heath competed as an individual and had to withdraw due to an injury.
The third and final round of the event will begin with a shotgun start on Tuesday morning at 7:30am CT.
