SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women's golf team finished in sixth place at this week's Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate held this week at Sevierville Country Club in Sevierville, Tennessee.
Belmont shot a second round team score of 318 on Tuesday to finish the event in sixth place with a 36-hole mark of 641. Eastern Kentucky won the team title with a score of 625, Evansville placed second at 629 and while Indiana State and Marshall tied for third place at 631.
Two Bruins finished among the top-15. Senior Sydney Hudson posted her fifth top-10 finish of the season as she tied for 10th place with a score of 156. Freshman Abbie Gregory tied for 15th place with a two-round mark of 158. She carded a team low 78 on Tuesday. It was her fifth top-20 finish of the season. Other Belmont scores from the event included: Evin Edens (T-24, 162), Megan Heath (T-36, 165), and Shay Sullivan (T-44, 169). Indiana State's Marissa Uradomo was the individual medalist after shooting a 148 over two days.
Freshman Alexi Bevans, competing as an individual, tied for 56th place with a score of 173.
The women's golf team will be back in action next Monday and Tuesday, March 24-25, at the TSU Big Blue Intercollegiate at Hermitage Golf Club in Old Hickory, Tennessee.
