MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – The Belmont women's golf team stands in seventh place after two rounds of the OVC Women's Golf Championship held Tuesday on the Fighting Joe Course at the Robert Trent Jones Trail at The Shoals in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
On a day that features periods of showers and sun, the Bruins posted a team score of 332 to finish the day in seventh place at 643. Eastern Kentucky leads at 599, while Murray State is in second at 605.
Two Bruins rank among the top-25 after 36 holes. Senior Shay Sullivan and junior Sydney Hudson are tied for 24th place at 159. Sullivan carded an 82 on Tuesday, while Hudson shot an 83. Other Belmont scores after day two included: freshman Megan Heath (28th, 161), freshman Abbie Gregory (T-39, 171), and junior Evin Edens (41st. 172). Delaney Howson of Murray State has the individual lead at 139.
The third and final round will get underway on Wednesday morning at 8:00am on hole #1. Belmont's five golfers will tee off between 8:50-9:30am.
