MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – The Belmont women's golf team finished in seventh place after two rounds of the OVC Women's Golf Championship held this week on the Fighting Joe Course at the Robert Trent Jones Trail at The Shoals in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
The Bruins posted a team score of 328 on Wednesday to finish the tournament in seventh place with a 54-hole mark of 971. Murray State won the team championship with a score of 915, while Eastern Kentucky was second at 917.
Two Belmont golfers finished among the top-30. Junior Sydney Hudson led the Bruins as she tied for 26th place with a three-round score of 240. She shot a 81 in Wednesday's final round. Seniro Shay Sullivan ended her Belmont career by finishing tied for 26th with a score of 243. She carded an 84 on Tuesday. Other Belmont scores from the championship included: freshman Megan Heath (31st, 247), junior Evin Edens (38th, 251), and freshman Abbie Gregory (T-40th, 255).
Murray State's Delaney Howson was the individual medalist as she shot an OVC record of 212 over three days.
