GLENCOE, Ala. – The Belmont women's golf team moved up one spot to ninth place after round two of the Chris Banister Classic held Tuesday at RTJ Silver Lakes Golf Course in Glencoe, Alabama.
The Bruins carded a team score of 313 on Tuesday to move up spot into ninth place with a 36-hole score of 644. Troy has the team lead at 608, while Morehead State is in second at 611.
Senior Sydney Hudson leads BU as she shot a 77 in the second round to end the day in a tie for 11th place at 154. She is nine shots behind the individual leader, Fatima Fern Cano of Troy, who is at 145. Other Belmont scores after two rounds include: sophomore Abbie Gregory (T-33, 164), freshman Katie Story (T-40, 166), sophomore Alexi Bevans (T-44, 167), sophomore Megan Heath (T-46, 168).
Freshman Mallory Sullivan, competing as an individual, is tied for 14th place at 155.
The third and final round will begin Tuesday morning at 7:30am with golfers going off holes #1 and #10. Belmont's golfers will go off #10 between 7:57-8:51am.
