HOOVER, Ala. – The Belmont women's golf team finished in fourth place at the Samford Women's Intercollegiate held this week at Hoover Country Club in Hoover, Alabama.
Belmont posted a team score of 309 in Tuesday's final round to remain in fourth place with a three-round score of 932. Ole Miss won the team title with a score of 907. Host Samford was second at 915, while Louisiana-Monroe finished third at 931.
Three Bruins finished among the top-20. Sophomore Abbie Gregory posted her best finish of the season as she tied for fifth place at 228. Freshman Katie Story and sophomore Megan Heath each tied for 16th place at 235. Story carded a 78 on Tuesday, while Heath shot a 76. Other Belmont scores from the tournament included: freshman Mallory Sullivan (28th, 239) ad senior Sydneyy Hudson (33rd, 243).
Stani Schiavone of Ole Miss won the individual title with a score of 215.
The women's golf team has a couple of weeks off before returning to the course on April 10-11, when they compete at the MSU Time Warner Invitational in Murray, Kentucky.
