JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Belmont women's golf team stands in 15th place after day one of the UNF Collegiate held at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club in Jacksonville, Florida.
Belmont carded identical rounds of 319 on Monday to finish the day in 15th place with a 36-hole score of 638. Houston has the team lead with a score of 594, while Texas is in second at 600.
Leading the way for the Bruins is freshman Mallory Sullivan. She is tied for 50th place with a score of 158. She carded rounds of 77 and 81 on Monday. Senior Evin Edens is tied for 55th at 159 after shooting rounds of 80 and 79. Other Belmont scores from day one included: freshman Katie Story (T-66, 162), senior Sydney Hudson (T-69, 163), and sophomore Megan Heath (T-73, 164).
The individual lead is held by Bertine Strauss of Texas, who shot a 144 on Monday.
Three Bruins are competing as individuals: sophomore Abbie Gregory (T-85, 166), redshirt freshman Maddie Williams (T-88, 167), and sophomore Alexi Bevans (98th, 171).
The third and final round will begin Tuesday morning with a shotgun start at 7:30am CT. The Bruins will tee off on holes 11, 12, and 13. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
