MURRAY, Ky. – The Belmont women's golf team is tied for seventh place after day one of the MSU Time Warner Invitational held Friday at Miller Memorial Golf Course in Murray, Kentucky.
Belmont posted rounds of 322 and 310 on Friday to finish the day tied with Marshall for seventh place at 632. Cincinnati has the team lead at 606. Morehead State is second at 612, while host Murray State in third at 620.
Three Bruins rank among the top-25 after 36 holes. Freshman Mallory Sullivan is tied for ninth place at 153. She carded rounds of 78 and 75 on Friday. Fellow freshman Katie Story is tied for 21st place at 157. The Dickson, Tennessee native shot rounds of 78 and 79 on day one. Sophomore Megan Heath is one shot back and in a tie for 25th place at 158. She posted rounds of 81 and 77 on Friday. Other Belmont scores from day one included: senior Sydney Hudson (T-45, 85-79=164) and sophomore Abbie Gregory (T-63, 93-80=173).
Three BU golfers are competing as individuals: senior Evin Edens (T-15, 78-77=155), redshirt freshman Maddie Williams (T-19, 77-79=155), sophomore Alexi Bevans (T-63, 91-82=173).
The third and final round will begin Saturday morning with a 8:30am shotgun start.
