MURRAY, Ky. – The Belmont women's golf team finished in seventh place at the MSU Time Warner Invitational held Friday at Miller Memorial Golf Course in Murray, Kentucky.
Belmont carded a team score of 313 in Saturday's final round to finish in seventh place with a 54-hole mark of 945. Cincinnati won the team title with a score of 909. Morehead State was second at 920, while Xavier was third at 929.
Two Bruins finished among the top-20. Freshman Mallory Sullivan led BU as she tied for 15th place with a score of 233. She shot an 80 in the final round. Senior Evin Edens, competing as an individual, also tied for 15th place at 233. The Mt. Juliet, Tennessee product shot a 78 on Saturday.
Other Belmont scores from the tournament included: senior Sydney Hudson (T-24, 237), freshman Katie Story (T-32, 238), sophomore Megan Heath (T-36, 239), and sophomore Abbie Gregory (57th, 252).
Besides Edens, two other BU golfers competed as individuals: sophomore Maddie Williams (42nd, 243) and sophomore Alexi Bevans (67th, 259).
The women's golf team returns to competition on April 20-22 at the OVC Championship held at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Hampton Cove in Huntsville, Alabama.
