DICKSON, Tenn. - - Belmont University women's golf placed third in the 2016 F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate Tuesday.
The Greystone Golf Club layout took back from the field some of what it surrendered in Monday's opening round, as red numbers proved hard to come by.
The Bruins did post three sub-80 rounds, to close with a team total of 625, just six shots behind overall champion Southern Illinois.
Junior Mallory Sullivan (Smithville, Tenn.) carded a final round 78 to finish in fourth place at seven-over par 151.
Senior Abbey Gregory (Hendersonville, Tenn.) also posted a top 10 finish with a 36-hole total of 157.
Sophomore Emma Kate Liu (Dallas, Texas) shared low round of the day for the Bruins with Sullivan at 78.
Redshirt junior Maddie Williams (Franklin, Tenn.) carded a 79, playing as an individual.
Belmont returns to competition Oct. 17-18 in the Arkansas State Invitational.
