Sydni Harvey (Brentwood, Tenn.) and graduate student men's basketball player
Drew Friberg (State College, Pa.) have been named Trane Student-Athletes of the Month for January.  Â
Harvey has been a great addition to the women's basketball program this season. She has played in all 15 games and averages 10.7 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. He had a season high 33 points in the team's win over Troy in December, which included a Division I school record 10 three-pointers. For her efforts, she was named MVC Player and Newcomer of the Week.Â
Friberg has become one of the top three-point shooters in the nation. He leads the MVC and ranks seventh in three point percentage, ranks fourth in the nation in three-pointers made per game and total three pointers made. Overall, he has played in all 18 games and is averaging 12.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
