Kendal Cheesman (Tampa, Fla.) and graduate student track and field athlete
Carter Cheeseman (Bell Buckle, Tenn.) have been named Trane Student-Athletes of the Month for February.
Cheesman has been a key player in the women's basketball team's recent success. She has played in all 23 games and is averaging 10.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. She ranks in the top-five in the MVC in three-point percentage and three pointers made. Kendal also scored in double figures in six straight games in January, including 19 versus UNI.
Cheeseman has made his mark early in the indoor track and field season. During the first month, he has set new school records in the mile and 3000 meters. He also has posted three top-10 finishes and ranks third in the MVC in both the mile and 3000 meters.
