DELAND, Fla. – The Belmont men's tennis wrapped up its Spring Break road trip with a 6-1 loss to #69 Stetson Thursday afternoon in DeLand, Florida.
The nationally ranked Hatters took the first point of the match as they won at number two and three doubles. The match at number one was unfinished as the point was clinched.
In singles, Stetson captured five of six matches to clinch the 6-1 victory over the Bruins. The lone BU win came at number two as senior
Ian Cruz beat Eder Blanco 6-2, 7-6.
The men's tennis team (3-7) is off for a couple of weeks. They are back in action on Saturday, March 23 as they travel for their first Horizon League match at Southern Indiana.
