Kendall Holmes (Plainfield, Ill.) and freshman track and field athlete
Jack Perry (Nashville, Tenn.) have been named Trane Student-Athletes of the Month for February,
Holmes has been key component for the women's basketball team's hot start in conference play. Starting in 20 of 23 games, the Illinois native ranks second on the team in scoring at 11.1 ppg and leads the team in free throw shooting. She scored double figures in 7 of her last 11 games, including a season-high 21 points versus Murray State.
Perry has made an immediate impact on the Bruins' indoor track and field season with his efforts in the pole vault. He finished second in his first collegiate meet at the Commodore Classic and then followed that up with a win at the Vanderbilt Invitational the next weekend with a program record mark of 4.93 meters. For his efforts, he was named MVC Field Athlete of the Week in consecutive weeks.
