NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women's tennis team saw their four match winning streak come to an end on Sunday as they fell to UIC 4-0 in a match played indoors at the Hadley Park Tennis Center in Nashville.
Sunday's match marked the final home appearance for three Belmont seniors:
Aly Getty,
Viktoria Kliimand and
Anastasiya Zholdakova.Â
The visiting Flames earned the first point of the match as they posted wins at positions two and three. Belmont did pick up a win at number one as Kliimand and
Hana Sokolovic defeated Mayu Ushio and Dognke Liu 6-1.
In singles, UIC clinched the 4-0 match victory as they earned wins at the top three positions.  The other three matches were not completed since the match results had been determined.Â
The women's tennis team (4-12, 3-1) is off for 10 days before returning to action on Thursday, April 10 as they play at Murray State for a 1:00pm match.
