ST. LOUIS, Mo. – For the third time this fall, junior women's golfer
Sloane Biddle has been named Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Golfer of the Week as announced by the conference office on Thursday.
Biddle earned the honor after she tied for ninth place at the Evie Odom Invitational held last weekend in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She carded rounds of 70-65-73 for a 208 total. It was her second top-10 finish of the season and ninth in 16 events dating back to last season.
While in Virginia, she made her mark on the Belmont record book. Her second round 65 is tied for the second lowest round in program history, while her 36-hole score of 135 was a school record.
Biddle's final mark of 208 is the second lowest 54-hole score in BU history.
This marks the ninth time in her career that Biddle has won weekly conference honors from the MVC.
The women's golf team will be back in action on October 26-27 as they wrap up the fall season at The Judson in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
