NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University Vice President/Director of Athletics
Scott Corley announced Tuesday the hire of
Logan Sanders to the position of assistant director of sports performance. He will begin his duties on Wednesday, March 11.

Sanders comes to Belmont after spending the previous three years in a similar capacity at the University of Central Arkansas. He helped lead Central Arkansas' successful transition into the Atlantic Sun Conference, where the Bears earned conference championships in men's basketball, softball, volleyball, men's golf, and men's and women's track & field.

Prior to his time in Arkansas, Sanders worked in sports performance for two years at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi where he assisted Belmont director of sport performance Lee Scott in guiding Highlander student-athletes to top performances in the Southland Conference.

The Pecatonica, Illinois, native is experienced in the latest sports performance technology, including KINEXON, Vitruve, Hawkins Dynamics, and TeamBuildr.

Sanders earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from the University of Dubuque and a master's degree in sport and exercise science from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

He has certification from the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is trained in martial arts.
