AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Belmont men's golf team stands in third place after 36 holes of the Jaguar Invitational in Augusta, Georgia.
The Bruins carded rounds of 290 and 287 on Monday to finish the day in third place at 577. Host Augusta has the lead at 559, with High Point in second place at 562.
Two Belmont golfers are among the top-10 after two rounds. Junior
Omar Khalid is tied for sixth place at 141 after shooting rounds of 69 and 72. He is four back of the individual leader, Chapman Barrett of Augusta at 137.
Senior
Chris Harpum two back of Khalid and in a tie for ninth place at 143. He carded rounds of 73 and 70.
Other Belmont scores from day one included: junior
Hugh Donegan (T-22, 146), freshman
Jackson Whaley (T-28, 148), and senior
Jack Darke (T-48, 152).
Two Bruins are competing as individuals: junior
Brennan Cozad (T-37, 150) and freshman
Leo Froio (T-48, 152).
