NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Senior women's track and field athlete
Maggie Swarr participated in the Team IMPACT Summit 2026 in late July in Boston.
Team IMPACT matches children facing serious illness and disability with college sports teams, creating a long-term, life-changing experience for everyone involved. Currently, seven Belmont teams are connected to a Team Impact athlete.Â
The Summit is Team IMPACT's premier annual leadership and professional development experience, bringing together 150 Team IMPACT Fellows (student-athletes) from colleges and universities nationwide.
Through interactive workshops, networking opportunities, and leadership-focused programming, the event helps these athletes understand the organization's mission and helps them communicate that mission to their home campuses and fellow athletes.Â
Swarr, a native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, served as Belmont's representative to the event.Â
"It was a cool experience to get to interact with people who have such a desire to care for the kids in the Team IMPACT program," said Swarr. "It is just so amazing to be so touched by a program that gives kids the opportunities to be a part of something that changes their lives."
