PADUCAH, Ky. – The Belmont women's golf team finished in sixth place at The Velvet Classic held this week at the Country Club of Paducah in Paducah, Kentucky.
In Tuesday's final round, Belmont shot a 307 to move up one spot and finish in sixth place at 922. West Florida and Austin Peay shared the team title at 882.
The Bruins were led by junior
Sloane Biddle. The Old Hickory, Tennessee native posted a final round 73 to move up to a tie for second place with three other golfers at 219. They finished five back of the medalist, Mariana Arronte of West Florida (214).
It was Biddle's fourth runner-up finish and seventh top-two finish of her Belmont career.
Sophomore
Lauren Davis was the only other Bruin in the top-30 as she finished in a tie for 27
th place at 230. She carded a 79 in the final round.

Junior
Ainsley Moore competing as an individual, tied for 39
th place at 235.
The women's golf team is back on the links next Monday and Tuesday at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational in Lexington, Kentucky.
