Prior to Belmont: Competing for Elkhart High School, Malloy competed at the state level in both track and cross country, finishing 8th in the Indiana State Cross Country Championships and 7th in the 1600m at the Track & Field Championships. He also placed 15th at the Foot Locker Midwest Regional.
