Prior to Belmont: Kent was selected to represent her school at the Alabama All-Star Cross Country Meet, and placed 3rd in the 800m at the Outdoor State Track & Field Championships in 2024. She earned 8 total state championships with her team at Mountain Brook (2021-XC; 2022- outdoor, XC; 2023- indoor, outdoor; XC; 2024- indoor, outdoor), won multiple 4x400 and 4x800 races at the state level, and upon graduating held the Alabama HS state record in the 4x800. She was also a 4-time New Balance Nationals Indoor All-American relay runner.
