The Palm Harbor, Florida, native joined the Bruins in her new position after spending time as a volunteer assistant coach at Belmont in the spring of 2024. While an assistant coach for both the men and women, Brookover will work heavily with the women’s distance squad. During the 2024 track & field season, Brookover assisted the Bruins with practices and training development. She also worked with athletes on goal setting, race planning, and race/training reflection.
Prior to assisting the Belmont coaching staff, Brookover competed in both cross country and track & field at Wake Forest, Florida, and High Point, where she racked up several accolades, including being a six-time NCAA First Round qualifier, NCAA Indoor Track and Field All-American and the 2022 Big South Conference Indoor Championship Most Valuable Athlete. At the 2021 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, Brookover finished 14th in the 3000m.
Brookover remains in the top 10 of the record books at Wake Forest in the indoor 3000m (4th, 9:17.98) as well as the outdoor 5000m (9th, 16:09.83) and 3000m steeplechase (2nd, 10:02.20). Breaking Florida’s freshman 3000m steeplechase record, Brookover still holds the eighth-fastest time in the 3000m steeplechase (10:24.23).
Off the track, Brookover was an Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic Team selection and U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Athlete.
Brookover graduated from Wake Forest with a Bachelor of Science in health and exercise science. She has also attained two master’s degrees, graduating from Wake Forest University School of Medicine with a degree in biomedical sciences and adding a Master of Business Administration in healthcare management from High Point.
Following her collegiate career, Brookover has worked as a physical therapy technician at MPOWER Physical Therapy and as a sales representative at KBI Medical/DJO Global.
Most recently, Brookover has served as the director of youth running and business development at The Exchange Running Collective in Nashville. In her role, Brookover designed marathon and half-marathon training plans for 120 participants and led a 16-week training program.
