Biography
2024 Outdoor (Redshirt Junior)
- Scored a third place finish along with a season best time of 3:52.14 in the 1500m at the Outdoor Music CIty Challenge (4/26-27)
- Ran a season best time of 14:12.19 in the 5000m at the 2024 Bryan Clay Invitational (4/11-13)
- Placed fourth in the 5000m at the 2024 MVC Outdoor Track & Field Championship (5/10-12) with a time of 14:27.19
Prior to Belmont: Mota is also making the switch from the Fighting Irish to the Bruins. Although a graduate transfer, he will likewise suit up as a redshirt junior athletically. Originally from Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, Mota attended Newmarket High School where he was a four-time Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) gold medalist, and was a member of Canada's U20 World Cross Country team. He holds PRs of 8:14 in the 3K and 24:00 in the 8K.
