Dr. Ryan Neises begins his eighth year within Belmont University Athletics ias Director of Student-Athlete Formation.
In his capacity, Dr. Neises works in concert with Renee Schultz and Colette Keyser in managing the athletic department's academic support and student services, including academic advising, counseling, study hall, life skills' programming, internships and career development. He will also serve as athletic department advisor to the Belmont University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Moreover, Dr. Neises oversees all department-related ministry, including overseas mission trips, campus and Nashville-based partnerships, and student-athlete spiritual development.
Dr. Neises came to Belmont after serving a number of roles at Cincinnati Christian University, most recently as assistant athletic director. His basketball coaching experience spans over a decade at the high school and collegiate level, and Neises has served as a professor of sport at two universities.
Dr. Neises holds a bachelor's degree in sport management & business from Ohio University, a master's degree in sports leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a doctorate of education in the Global Sport Leadership program at East Tennessee State University.
Dr. Neises resides in Franklin with his wife, Kelsey, and  his children: Gracie and Judah. Â
