Entering her 28th year at Belmont University either as a student-athlete, coach, or administrator, Renee Schultz ('02) serves as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Success/Senior Woman Administrator.
She was named the Associate Athletic Director for Student Services/Senior Woman Administrator in 2016 after spending two years as Assistant Athletic Director for Student Services.
Prior to that promotion, Schultz spent 10 years as Director of Academic Support for Belmont's Department of Athletics.
Schultz assists the overall management of the department by overseeing the day-to-day operations of our athletic teams.
She manages and oversees the holistic support services for all Belmont student-athletes, including but not limited to, admissions, academic support, career exploration, graduation and student wellbeing. Under Schultz's leadership, Belmont student-athletes have earned a departmental GPA of 3.0 or higher every semester, which dates back to Spring 1998.
Schultz also serves on the department's executive leadership team with Vice President/Director of Athletics Scott Corley, Josh Ward and James Woody.
She has sport oversight for women's basketball, volleyball, women's soccer and women's golf.
Schultz earned her Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a M.Ed. in Sport Administration from Belmont University.
While at Belmont, she was a part of the Women's Soccer Program and helped Captain the team in both 1999 and 2001. Schultz served as the Assistant Coach for the Women's Soccer team from 2003-2004.
She serves on various campus committees, including the Welcome Home Diversity Council, Operation Leadership Team (BOLT) and the Student Care Team.
A native of University Place, Washington, Schultz currently resides in Nashville with her husband, Donovan and two children, Brynn and Miles.
