Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Belmont volleyball team cruised to an easy 3-0 victory Tuesday evening in the Curb Center against Chattanooga (0-8).
Belmont (3-6) started off strong and never looked back as the Bruins swept the Mocs: 25-16, 26-16, 25-18.
Freshman outside hitter Jessica Vestal (Concord, Calif.) led Belmont with 11 kills on the evening and senior libero Jamie Lundstrom (LaGrange, Ill.) recorded a team-best 14 digs for the host Bruins. Prior to the match, Lundstrom was recognized for becoming Belmont's all-time digs leader.
Belmont returns to action Friday when the Bruins travel to California to take part in the Fresno State Classic. The Bruins are set to square off against the host Bulldogs in the first day of the invitational at 7 p.m.
