MILWAUKEE, Wis. - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to game action Monday at Milwaukee. Belmont had Saturday's game at Green Bay postponed due to weather conditions. Winter Storm Decima buried much of the upper Midwest in heavy snow and ice, and precluded Belmont from getting to the Dairy State.
The Bruins dropped a 79-66 decision to Conference USA favorite Middle Tennessee Dec. 14. Belmont led 62-61, but the Blue Raiders closed on an 18-4 run, including the final 10 points in the last 1:29. Senior Evan Bradds (Jamestown, Ohio) had 21 points and 16 rebounds for Belmont.
Bradds is one of three NCAA Division I players currently averaging at least 20 points and 10 rebounds per game. Tim Kempton (Lehigh) and Dedric Lawson (Memphis) are the other two.
Belmont opened last season in the state of Wisconsin, defeating Marquette, 83-80, at the Bradley Center.
2014 Belmont graduate Drew Windler is a native of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The name 'Cameron Harvey' has ties to both programs - with Belmont Associate Head Coach for Track & Field and Milwaukee graduate transfer guard sharing the same name. Interestingly enough, Belmont's Coach Harvey is a native of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and ran track in Milwaukee at Marquette University.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3 and WatchESPN. The live play-by-play of Voice of the Bruins Kevin Ingram can be heard on the Bruin Sports Network. In-game updates will be available via Twitter @BelmontMBB.
