NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women's golf team was victorious in their tri-match with Lipscomb and Tennessee State held Friday afternoon at McCabe Golf Course in Nashville.
Playing McCabe's Middle and North courses, the Bruins posted a team score of 300 to best rival Lipscomb by seven shots (307). TSU finished third at 363.
Three Bruins shared medalist honors. Senior Abbie Gregory and junior Mallory Sullivan and freshman Carlee Nanney, competing as an individual, each posted a two-over par 74. They tied for first with Lipscomb's Samantha Griffith and Jenny Muesing.
Sophomore Emma Kate Liu and senior Megan Heath tied for sixth place after shooting a four-over par 76, while junior Maddie Williams tied for eighth place with a 77.
Freshman Julia Nittoli competed as an individual and tied for eighth with a 77.
The low scorer for Tennessee State was Savannah Szozda, who posted an 80.
The women's golf team is back in action on October 10-11 at the APSU Intercollegiate at Greystone Golf Course in Dickson, Tennessee.
