Belmont-Eastern Illinois Game Preview

CHARLESTON, Ill. - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to game action Wednesday at Eastern Illinois.

Belmont defeated Tennessee Tech, 82-70, Jan. 21. Senior Evan Bradds (Jamestown, Ohio) had a game-high 23 points for the Bruins. 

Bradds is averaging 17.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game over his last three games vs. Eastern Illinois.

Belmont has made 31 3-point field goals over its last two games vs. Eastern Illinois.

Junior Amanze Egekeze is a native of Lake in the Hills, Illinois.

Belmont's first-ever game at Eastern Illinois (11/28/09) - while the Bruins were members of the Atlantic Sun Conference - became known as 'The Mick Hedgepeth Game' as the 2012 graduate posted a then career-high 23 points on 8-9 shooting.

Sophomore Kevin McClain (Jennings, Fla.) scored nine second half points in last season's victory vs. Eastern Illinois (1/9/16).

This marks the eighth meeting between Belmont and Eastern Illinois.
