NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to game action Monday vs. SIU Edwardsville.
Belmont defeated Tennessee State, 93-76, Saturday. Senior Evan Bradds (Jamestown, Ohio) had a team-high 20 points for the Bruins.
Bradds is averaging 20.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game in three career games vs. SIU Edwardsville. Bradds had 22 points and 14 rebounds in last year's meeting.
Sophomore Kevin McClain (Jennings, Fla.) had a season-high 12 points last season vs. SIU Edwardsville.
2012 Belmont graduate Drew Hanlen is a native of St. Louis. As CEO of Pure Sweat Basketball, Hanlen has become one of the most respected player development consultants and strategic skills coaches in the NBA. His clients include Dwight Howard, Andrew Wiggins, Bradley Beal, Zach LaVine, and former teammate and Belmont All-American Ian Clark ('13).
Belmont and SIU Edwardsville are the two most recent entries to the Ohio Valley Conference. Belmont joined in 2012, while SIU Edwardsville joined in 2008.
This marks the fifth meeting between Belmont and SIU Edwardsville.
