NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women's golf team wraps up their fall season close to home as they compete in the TSU Town and Country Invitational at Nashville's McCabe Golf Course.
The Bruins have not played in two weeks since they finished second at the ASU Lady Redwolves Classic. At that event, BU was by senior Mallory Sullivan and freshman Maribeth Peevy, who each finished among the top-10. Sullivan leads the team in scoring with a 76.0 average,
This week's Town and Country invitational is a two-day, 36-hole event. It will be played at Nashville's McCabe Golf Course on its Middle and South layouts and play to a par 72 and a length of 5,836 yards.
The field includes six Midstate squads: Austin Peay, Belmont, Cumberland, Lipscomb, Tennessee State, and Trevecca. The format for the tournament will be a unique one as all five starting golfers from each team will play together in one grouping.
First round play begins Monday morning at 10:00am. Belmont will tee off at 12:05pm.
