NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont University sophomore Creaghan Diekema (Grand Rapids, Mich.) was named to the 2017 Horizon League Men's Soccer All-Academic team the league announced Friday.
The All-Academic team is comprised of 12 student athletes chosen by faculty representatives that have significant classroom and on-field achievements.
Diekema boasts a 3.82 cumulative grade point average and has been named to the Belmont University Dean's List every semester.
On the pitch, Diekema has had a breakout season as a member of the Bruins' offensive attack, starting all 15 matches as a forward. He has scored 2 goals and recorded one assist in the 2017 campaign.
Diekema is the only Belmont men's soccer player who has ever earned this honor.
