NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to game action Saturday at Tennessee Tech. Belmont defeated Jacksonville State, 66-53, Thursday. Senior Evan Bradds (Jamestown, Ohio) had a game-high 21 points for the Bruins.
Bradds, who was named finalist for the Julius Erving Award Feb. 1, has scored 20 or more points in 10 consecutive games, averaging 23.6 points per game over that span.
Senior Taylor Barnette (Lexington, Ky.), who went over 1,000 career points in Thursday night's victory at Jacksonville State, had a career-high four steals versus Tennessee Tech (1/31/15). He also had 20 points in the earlier meeting this season(1/21/17) - one of eight career 20+ point games for Barnette.
Sophomore Dylan Windler (Indianapolis, Ind.) had 15 points and 11 rebounds in the earlier meeting this season (1/21/17) - one of three career double-doubles for Windler.
Belmont head coach Rick Byrd served as an assistant coach at Tennessee Tech from 1980-83.
This marks the 19th meeting between Belmont and Tennessee Tech.
