NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to game action Saturday vs. Morehead State.
Belmont defeated Eastern Kentucky, 76-72, Thursday. Senior Evan Bradds (Jamestown, Ohio) had a team-high 25 points for the Bruins.
With the victory, Belmont secured a ninth conference regular season championship since 2006. Only Kansas and Gonzaga have more over that span.
Bradds scored a season-high 32 points at Morehead State (1/12/17). Bradds has scored in double figures in each of his last seven games vs. Morehead State.
Belmont (Ian Clark, Golden State Warriors) and Morehead State (Kenneth Faried, Denver Nuggets) each have a former player in the NBA. In fact, Clark and Faried were teammates on the Denver Nuggets for two months at the end of the 2014-15 season.
This marks the 11th meeting between Belmont and Morehead State.
