BATAVIA, Ohio – The Belmont women's golf stands in 10th place after day one of the NKU Fall Classic held Monday at Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio. In addition, senior Mallory Sullivan is tied for third place individually after 36 holes of play.
The Bruins carded rounds of 321 and 320 on Monday to finish the day in 10th place at 641. UNC-Asheville has the team lead at 606, while Dayton is second at 607.
Belmont is led by senior Mallory Sullivan, who posted rounds of 74 and 75 to finish the day tied for third place at 149. She is four shots behind individual leader Ellie Cronin of Dayton.
Other BU scores from round one include: junior Emma Kate Liu (T-45, 163), sophomore Carlee Nanney (T-48, 164), sophomore Julia Nittoli (T-50, 165), and freshman Ann Catherine Blackburn (67th, 171).
Freshman Maribeth Peevy is competing as an individual and is tied for 33rd place at 159.
The third and final round is set to begin Tuesday morning at 7:30am CT.
