ALLEN, Texas – The Belmont women's golf team defeated UT-Dallas in a dual match held Wednesday at The Golf Club at Twin Creeks in Allen, Texas.
On a windy and cold Wednesday, Belmont posted a team score of 299 to win by 30 strokes over the Comets (329).
Senior Mallory Sullivan earned medalist honors after shooting a two-under par 70 in the match. Sophomore Carlee Nanney shot a 74, while junior and Texas native Emma Kate Liu carded a 77. Closing out the scoring for the Bruins included: freshman Ann Catherine Blackburn with a 78 and fellow freshman Maribeth Peevy at 79.
Two BU golfers competed as individuals: sophomore Julia Nittoli posted an 80, while Maddie Williams shot an 82.
UT-Dallas was led by Marissa Langer, who carded a 78.
The women's golf team is back in action next Monday-Tuesday at the Bradley Spring Invitational in Dallas, Texas.
