Back on the Course

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women's golf team is back in action this Monday-Tuesday at the Bradley Spring Invitational at Brookhaven Country Club outside Dallas, Texas.

Belmont enters the Bradley event after a dual match win over UT-Dallas last Wednesday.  In the match, the Bruins bested the Comets by 30 shots and were led by medalist Mallory Sullivan, who posted a season-low 70.

Sullivan leads the team in scoring with a 75.3 average, which also ranks her among the top-three in the OVC.  The Smithville, Tennessee native also leads the team with five top-10 finishes, including an individual title at Austin Peay last fall.  Freshman Maribeth Peevy ranks second on the team in scoring at 78.2 and has three top-10 finishes.

This week's Bradley Spring Invitational is a two-day, 54-hole event, with 36 holes contested on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.  It will be played at Brookhaven Country Club outside Dallas.  The course will play to a par 73 and a length of 6,286 yards.  The field features 16 teams and includes squads from Belmont, Bradley, Cincinnati, Illinois State, UMKC, and Wichita State.
