BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Due to COVID-19 issues within the University of Tennessee at Martin's women's basketball program, the Belmont University women's basketball team's Ohio Valley Conference road game scheduled for Saturday afternoon in Martin, Tennessee, has been postponed.
In accordance with OVC protocols and the league's rescheduling policies, the game has been rescheduled for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 17. Tipoff of the conference road contest has been set for 2 p.m.
The Bruins (7-5, 3-0 OVC) will return to game action next Thursday, Jan. 13 when they host Austin Peay for a 5 p.m. tip inside the Curb Event Center. Next Saturday, Jan. 15, Belmont welcomes Murray State to the Music City for a 2 p.m. matchup.
On a three-game winning streak for the first time this season, the Bruins began the home portion of their OVC slate with a convincing 85-65 win over Southeast Missouri State University Thursday evening. Five players scored in double figures and Belmont assisted on 21 of its 30 made field goals and came up with a season-best 14 steals.
