Men's Basketball Announces Incoming Class

Talented Quartet Bring Scoring & Versatility to Belmont

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball head coach Casey Alexander announced the signings of Win Miller, Sam Orme, Brigham Rogers and Drew Scharnowski to national letters of intent to play basketball for the Bruins, starting in the fall of 2023.

"This class will make Belmont better," Alexander said. "With these four young men, we're getting highly accomplished players who model everything we look for in our program: winners, leaders, competitors and true student-athletes. Win, Sam, Brigham and Drew had lots of options and high-level offers, so we're thrilled they identify with Belmont's culture and want to be a part of it."

"The size and versatility this class brings is exciting for us," Alexander added. "This is our first class as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference and they will accelerate our transition."

Miller, a 6-3 guard from Vestavia Hills, Alabama, averaged 16.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game with 58 steals as a junior in leading Vestavia Hills High School to a 29-5 record. Miller was named First Team Alabama All-State by the Alabama Sports Writers Association and AL.com. HoopSeen.com ranked Miller as the top point guard in the state of Alabama and the No. 4 player overall. He enters 2022-23 with 1,262 career points. He played AAU basketball for Pro One.

Orme, a 6-9 forward from Carmel, Indiana, averaged 11.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as a junior as Carmel High School posted an 18-6 record. Orme earned Indiana Basketball Coaches Association All-State and 'Supreme 15' honors, and was named to the IHSAA/Indianapolis Star Junior All-Star Game. Orme is ranked as a Top 10 player in the state of Indiana by 247Sports and PrepHoops.com. The forward was also invited to the IBCA Basketball Showcase. He played AAU basketball for Indy Heat.

Rogers, a 6-8 forward from Roswell, Georgia, averaged 18.4 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.4 blocked shots per game as a junior for Blessed Trinity Catholic High School. Rogers was named Georgia 7AAAAA Second Team All-State and earned Honorable Mention Georgia All-State honors from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Rogers is ranked as the No. 4 post prospect in the state of Georgia by 247Sports. RyzeHoops.com also listed Rogers, who was named to the Georgia Basketball Coaches Association Junior All-Star Game, among the top forwards in the southeast this past summer. He played AAU basketball for Atlanta All-Stars.

Scharnowski, a 6-8 forward from Burlington, Illinois, averaged 9.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.6 blocked shots per game as a junior as Burlington Central High School posted a 31-4 record. Scharnowski, who played point guard early in his career, is ranked among the top players in Illinois by 247Sports and the Chicago Sun-Times. The Chicago Hoops Report identified him as a Top 10 senior in the Chicagoland area. He played AAU basketball for Breakaway Basketball.
