NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont University Softball heads to Cookeville, Tenn. to take on conference opponent Tennessee Tech University in a three game series. 

Due to impending rain forecasted for Saturday the doubleheader will take place on Friday, April 15 first pitch set for 5:00 p.m. CT followed by a single game on Saturday, April 16 at 1:00 p.m. CT to finish out the series. 

All games will be streamed on ESPN+.

  • Belmont Softball posts a 19-11 record on the season and 10-4 in the Ohio Valley Conference

  • In home appearances the Bruins are 9-2 and 4-8 in away contests

  • Centerfielder, Cheyenne Cavanaugh, ranks seventh nationally and first in the OVC in stolen bases per game (0.77) while also leading the Bruins in batting average (.408), on base percentage (.474), hits (40), runs (25), and stolen bases (23) 

  • Leading the OVC in RBI (30), twenty-seventh nationally, Kristen Green also heads the Bruins in slugging percentage (.607) and homeruns (5)

  • Emma Barnes leads the Bruins in walks (15)
