NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Following the first week of the 2022 season, the Belmont University men's soccer team has a Missouri Valley Conference player of the week honoree. Graduate goalkeeper
Nate Logan has been named MVC Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.
Logan becomes the first Belmont student-athlete to earn a MVC player of the week award.
Helping lead the Bruins to a 1-0-1 opening week in the Music City, Logan made the most of his first two career starts in front of the net. In the 2-0 season opening shutout of the visiting Screaming Eagles, Logan made a trio of saves before recording five saves in the 1-1 draw with Purdue Fort Wayne Sunday afternoon.
Belmont extended its home unbeaten streak to 12 with the Bruins' result Sunday.
