Men's Basketball to Host Drake Jan. 29 on ESPN2

Missouri Valley Conference Announces Wildcard Television Selections

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball will be featured on ESPN2 as part of the Missouri Valley Conference's television wildcard selection process, the league office announced Thursday.

Belmont's Jan. 29 game vs. Drake will be broadcast on ESPN2 and the Watch ESPN app.

Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. CT.

Belmont will welcome ESPN2 to the Curb Event Center for the first time since Feb. 23, 2013, when the Bruins defeated Ohio, 81-62, in the final game of the ESPN BracketBusters series.

This marks the second meeting between Belmont and Drake.

The Bruins won, 74-69, last season in the ESPN Events Invitational.

Using the Wildcard model, the Missouri Valley Conference -- in conjunction with its television partners -- reserves clearance windows for select dates throughout the season and waits until two weeks before the contest(s) to determine network clearances.

ESPN2 is currently in approximately 75 million households.

Fourth Capital will serve as the Belmont game sponsor.
